As mentioned in the previous article, a person is constantly living and in the flow of time, and is dependent on it. However, what is "time"? Have you ever thought about that?
Scientists are still debating its nature.
..It was once believed that the passage of time is constant anywhere in the universe. And it seemed self-evident.
However, in the early twentieth century, Albert Einstein formulated a special theory of relativity. According to her, when approaching the speed of light, the flow of time slows down significantly, objects in space become smaller, and their mass increases. According to Einstein's theory, the constant value is not time but the speed of light.

To illustrate this, imagine that you and your friend have synchronized their watches. Then your friend went on a trip around the world, and you stayed at home. When he returned, his watch was a little behind yours. From your point of view, the time for your friend has slowed down. Agree, it looks a little weird. Isn't that right? However, as a rule, we do not notice such a difference in time.
Everything in the universe, from the smallest atoms to giant galaxies, obeys the law. For example, atoms vibrate at a constant frequency. It is the frequency of oscillations of atoms that regulates the clock, which determines the international standard of time. This clock is very accurate: the error in it is 1 second per 80,000,000 years. The motion of planets and stars is also clearly regulated. Due to their position in the sky, people determine the time of year and find the right direction when traveling.

In general, people perceive time a little differently. And it matters. For the elderly, time runs much faster than for children. Why? One year added to a one-year-old's life increases his life experience by 100 percent, while a year added to a 70-year-old's life will increase his life experience by only 1.5 percent. For a child, a year is a long period of time. The elderly man notices that her years coincide faster and faster every time.

Because of the hectic pace of life, people today often think that time flies, much faster than ever before. Of course, these feelings are subjective.
Interestingly, according to the Bible, one of the oldest books in history, only the Most High God is timeless, for to him "one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (2 Peter 3: 8,9).
So, the next time you study history, consider how people perceived time in ancient times.
