My belief is that knowing history is very important. There is a saying - "He who does not know the past, he is not worthy of the future." I like this idea more - "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat its mistakes."
Agree, living without knowledge of past events is the same as losing memory.
Unfortunately, many people consider History to be a boring subject. But give me a chance - and I will prove you wrong.
After graduating from the Faculty of History in 2013, I decided not to stop there, but to continue self-education. And I realized that there are a lot of interesting topics that we at school or university just do not miss.
And even those topics that are in the educational program - you can teach completely "new". What do I mean? I am a supporter of such teaching methods as "visualization" or "visual aids". The fact is, for example, that the same Egyptian pyramids can be simply told (or "read a lecture"), and you can - "SHOW" - with the help of bright illustrations and videos. ("Traveling" directly to Egypt). Today's level of science and technology allows you to do it!
That's why my website is called - "Your Tour in History" ..
I'm working to make my lessons "Virtual Tours" in the past.
Interestingly, this site is designed not only for schoolchildren or students. Many people like to learn in old age. And in today's circumstances of the coronavirus, when you need to stay at home - this is a great opportunity.
